As Laura Ignalls Wilder once said, “Some old fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat” and we agree!  Next time you’re visiting a family member at Briarcliffe and conditions are favorable- spend some time in nature.  At Briarcliffe Manor SNF, we have two outdoor lounges on each side of the building, a courtyard accessible from the first floor resident lounge and a large outside space accessible from 2nd floor. The Preserve Assisted Living Residence features an extensive outdoor deck and lawn accessible from the 1st floor lounge and a lovely sundeck accessible from the 2nd floor lounge.  Both Briarcliffe Gardens and the Cottage Memory Care Residences have secure courtyards and outdoor activity options. This photo is of an outdoor lounge at Briarcliffe Manor where you can enjoy watching the birds who live in our fancy bird condo while taking in the lush landscape and listening to the burbling fountain. Take it outside- soothing, healing and life affirming.
